Would you like to create a culture of problem solving and continuous improvement so that finding ways to make things better, easier, less frustrating and more effective becomes part of everyone’s job? This is what lean thinking and lean business tools are all about.

Lean can deliver benefits to businesses of all sizes and sectors. This includes improvements in cash-flow, sales, productivity, waste reduction, lead times, employee engagement, quality and customer service. Unfortunately, the jargon and the sheer variety of tools and approaches available can be a major barrier to adoption of lean by many businesses. Where do you even start? Well, you have to start somewhere. Start here.

ManagementWorks, in association with Construction SME Skillnet, Leading Healthcare Providers Skillnet and Taste4Success Skillnet, is hosting a FREE workshop in Stillorgan to help businesses find out more about lean. We will introduce the concept of lean business thinking, explain the lean principles, and discuss how they apply to your business. Our goals are to:

  1. explain lean in simple terms; its origins and its focus on delivering value to the customer
  2. discuss the relevance of lean for different business sizes and sectors
  3. give examples of lean in manufacturing, services, retail, distribution and healthcare
  4. identify state supports for implementation of lean, including a programme available through ManagementWorks

Who should attend?

Senior Managers, including Managing Directors, Financial Controllers, Department Managers, Production Managers, and other members of staff who want to know more about lean and might be willing to work as a team to introduce lean within their business.
